Tsuruhashi – a downtown city bursting with Asian power. From Tsuruhashi to Ikuno is an area famous in Osaka for being related to the Korean culture and referred to as "Korean Town" or "International Market". Energetic and vitality maybe the best words to describe the atmosphere. Naturally, the signs of the Korean-style barbeque restaurants are written with the Hangul alphabet as well as many other restaurants. They also have Kushikatsu, Okonomiyaki , Takoyaki and sushi restaurants with fresh sashimi. The area is located on the east end of the historical Uemachi-daichi and is also the gateway to Ise-shima and Nara.
