Osaka Castle Zone
The area with tall buildings next to the Osaka Castle is the Osaka Business Park (OBP). It is a multifunctional area for commerce, cultural events, service, information and communication. The area is also famous for hosting the 1995 APEC meeting. Besides the “Osaka Castle Hall” and “Hotel New Otani Osaka”, there are other convention facilities within the area such as “IMP Building”, MID Tower, and Twin 21. It has good access to the entertainment centers of Osaka and to Kyoto and Kobe from the Kyobashi station of both the JR and the Keihan Line. “Osaka River & Bay Cruise” runs nearby and this is an area that represents the aqua city, Osaka, very well together with the Nakanoshima area.
