Uehommachi Zone
The Palace of Naniwa-no-miya was built here at Uemachi Plateau in the 7th century. This area has prospered as the gateway to the world since ancient times. The “International House, Osaka” was built here at Uemachidaichi Plateau to boost international tourism. The “Miyako Hotel Osaka” is located at Uehommachi Station of the Kintetsu Line which is the eastern gate to the ancient city of Nara. Numbers of international conventions have been held at this hotel as well. This area also has great access to Minami area which includes Dotombori, filled with good restaurants, Nipponbashi which is a famous shopping area for electrical appliances.
