Taiseishogunji Temple

The temple is located in the urban area facing the Route 25 and it takes about 5 min from JR Kansai line Yao station to the southwest.
This land is called Shibukawa no Ato and there is a house of Mononobe no Moriya who disagreed with the introduction of Buddhism and this is the historic battlefield of Prince Shotoku who tried to spread the Buddhism and Mononobe no Moriya.
Prince Shotoku prayed to Bishamonten(guardian god of Buddhism) of Mt.Shigi and
he enshrined the Shitennou (Four Heavenly Kings) and he won by its blessing.
He built the first Japanese Buddhism temple-Shitennoji on a hill in Namba and Shogunji temple was founded here in Shibukawa.
There is a statue of 16-year-old Price Shotoku in the main temple of Taishiden and Shitennou has been enshrined with a bow and arrow.
There are Moriya ponds and horseshoe stones that washed the neck of Mononobe no Moriya and also Kabura-ya mound,Yumishiro mound and the tomb of Mononobe no Moriya In the vicinity at the precinct.

TRANSPORTATION 6 minutes walk from JR Yao station, get off at Kintetsu Osaka line Yao station・Minami Osaka line Fujiidera station and take a bus foe Fujiidera and get off at Taishido and 5 minutes walk.
