A 15-minute walk from the Korien Station of the Keihan Railway, this temple was erected in the 9th year of the Showa Period (1934) and is known for traffic safety. Also, number 28 of the 36 Fudoson holy sites in the Kinki area. Fudoson is a divided spirit of the Fudoson at the Shinsho-ji Temple, where Kobo-daishi created and performed the kaigen-kuyo (eye-opening ceremony) himself under an order from the Emperor Saga during the Heian Period. Apart from the main hall, there is a prayer hall designated for traffic safety where 100 vehicles with passengers in them can be prayed for at one time. Around 30,000 vehicles are brought at each New Year, and 200,000 vehicles are brought here annually for prayers. During the Setsubun Festival, many celebrities visit to participate in the bean-throwing ceremony.
