It was opened as Japan's first rugby stadium in 1929.
A national high school rugby tournament is carried out here every year and it has been referred to as the Holy Land of the high school rugby players.
A lot of spectators flock to see many games such as games for top players, the international match and Japan Rugby Top League from all over Japan.
This stadium accommodates 30,000 people.
The top of the main stand is provided with a roof called "Daitetsukasa" and well-kept natural grass is spreading in the ground.
Rugby Library is free and open for spectators during the game and you can learn a history of rugby from photo panels and new and old of rugby shoes and balls.
