Funatoike Park

It is familiar as one of 100 selections of the Osaka Green and it's opened in Showa 57 years (1982). You can enjoy about 7,000 of seasonal flowers such as many trees of camphor tree, and any beech tree of genus Castanopsis, and azalea. Many wild birds inhabit there such as, ducks, white heron, gray heron, in Funato pond where is in the park on the north side. So here is the most suitable for bird‐watching. In about June is recommendation when clearly color such as, purpul, white,pimk, and yellow iris at the water's edge. Iris is ornamental garden plant, and it had improved of Iris which grow wild in Japan from Muromachi period. This flower was familiar with Siberian iris, and rabbitear iris from of old. And it is also familiar with local flower in Sakai city.
