Take a bus from the Kawachinagano Station of the Nankai Railway or the Kintetsu Railway. A ten-minute walk from the Takihata Dam Site stop. The Takihata Lake Park, a Kawachinagano Municipal Outdoor Activity Facility for Workers, is laid out on a slope overlooking the beautiful surface of the dam lake. Facilities include play equipment such as a 160 meter-long Super Slider (admission fee needed) and cable swings, as well as a lawned park, a botanical garden, Center House, a Japanese-style training room, etc. Take a 30-minute walk from the park, crossing the Yuzuki Bridge over the dam lake to the Takihata Museum of History, with an eye-catching thatched roof. This museum was built concurrently with the construction of the dam, to exhibit private residences, craftwork, everyday tools, etc. from the Edo Period. Further walks lead to other interesting locations, including a youth center used extensively for outdoor activities and recreation, and the 48 Waterfalls of Takihata, with many large and small waterfalls.

TRANSPORTATION Take a Nankai bus for Takihata Dam at Kawachi-Nagano Sta. on the Nankai Koya Line or Kintetsu Nagano Line; 10 min. walk from Takihata Dam Site bus stop.
