After a 30-minute train ride from Umeda, get off at New Tram Trade Center-mae Station to explore the Nanko area. The Red and white accented building resembles a toy box. ATC is a large commercial facility complex of total floor area approx. 330,000 square meters, shining under the blue sky of Nanko, consisting of the O's Building and ITM Building. "O's" consists of shopping, gourmet, and amusement spaces like a game center. In the outdoor space "O's Park", you can taste a bit of resort vacation overlooking the ocean in front of you. Large outlet mall "MARE" on the 4-6th floor of ITM Building attracts domestic and international popular brands. Also various events on holidays!

2. Mizuno Sportology Gallery

Free-of-charge exhibit space in the headquarters of a prominent sporting goods manufacturer "Mizuno", established in 1906. You can see pro-modeled bats and gloves of Ichiro, Matsui, etc, and sporting goods of the future at a glance. Very moving articles for older fans such as baseball uniforms from the 1920s and cowhide gloves from around the 1930s, etc.

3. Osaka Maritime Museum

Go into the hemispherical glass dome through the undersea tunnel from the entrance building. A huge Edo period Higaki cargo ship welcomes you to the museum. 4. Osaka Nankou Bird Sanctuary

When you are tired of shopping and crowds, go to the Bird Sanctuary on the west end of Nanko. Stroll around the green path and the hill overlooking the boats guided by the chirping of birds. At the bird observation station, you may be transfixed on the spot by the adorable movements of the waterfowl. You can rent a pair of binoculars (¥300) or read well-stocked books on birds (within the premises). Great for families, too.

5. WTC Cosmo Tower Observatory

Finish up the Bay Area tour at WTC Cosmo Tower Observatory, the tallest in western Japan. From the 360-degree panoramic glassed-in observatory 252m above ground, you can fully enjoy the dynamic view of Awaji island, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Kansai International Airport, etc. The bright orange sunset is the topmost beauty.
