OUTLINE Roadside Station Chihaya Akasaka is focal point for information concerning local travel, and a drivers' oasis in the neighborhood of the birthplace of Kusunoki Masashige. It also serves as a resting place for hikers visiting the Chihayaakasakamura area. The roadside station has been built in a quiet location surrounded by terraced rice fields, and has sweets and local souvenirs on sale. There's a viewing platform on the 2nd floor which is the perfect spot to see Mt. Kongo and Mt. Katsuragi. The perfect place to enjoy some piece and quiet with others in a spot that's normally busy with traffic.
