Hanshin Department Store is located in Umeda, Osaka. It is famous among Osaka people for its rich variety of foods; its Food Hall on the basement floor has patisserie shops attracting queues of customers, a space for Osaka's specialty such as "kombu" kelp and "sembei" rice crackers, and a shop for "ika-yaki" squid savory pancakes which makes this department famous by selling more than 10,000 pieces a day. On the 8th Floor is HANSHIN Tigers Shop which sells about 2,500 different items of the HANSHIN Tigers baseball team, which enjoys high popularity among Tigers fans; its "fuku-bukuro (lucky bag)" on sale in the new year is highly appreciated by so many fans that they are sold out almost upon release every year.
