Osaka Karaki Sashimono (joinery)
Rosewood, ebony and other karaki (foreign wood) are used as material for cabinets, cupboards, low tables, flower stands and other pieces of furniture, which are built without using nails. Durability is attained instead through wood joinery techniques and animal glue, with the lacquered finish enhancing the attractiveness of the wood.
