Osaka Convention and Tourism Bureau will take part in the “Nipponbashi Street Festa”

Osaka Convention and Tourism Bureau will participate in “Nipponbashi Street Festa 2017,” the 13th version of the biggest cosplay festival in Japan, on March 19, 2017 (Sun).

Set up in Nipponbashi “Times” parking area, the exhibition stand of Osaka Convention and Tourism Bureau will be distributing postcards with original sketches from “Hand Shakers,” a popular anime program in which famous sightseeing spots in Osaka are depicted, especially drawn for the occasion. Since only a limited number of copies will be available, hurry up and get yours!

With Osaka as its backdrop, TV anime “Hand Shakers” is now on air!

From January 2017 and broadcast via terrestrial TV as well as over the Internet, the animated series “Hand Shakers” is now on air. Tune in and see Osaka in “AD 20XX”! Tazuna, a high school student with a knack for engineering, Koyori, a girl sleeping on a bed, a touch of their hands, a mysterious force and a battle – against what?

“POPCULTURE OSAKA” Website is now online!

The Osaka Convention and Tourism Bureau has now online a new website aiming to inform the world about Osaka’s pop culture – the name of the website is, quite aptly, “POPCULTURE OSAKA”

The website will include updates on items related to Osaka’s “new tourism” that focuses on manga, anime, samurai, ninja, pop idols and other pop culture areas.
