Minoh Onsen (hot spring) can be enjoyed at the Hotel Minoo, located on a hill at the entrance of the Meiji-no-mori Minoh Quasi-national Park. The hotel commands a sweeping view of the Osaka Plain, along with magnificent night views. On the top floor is the Sky Bath featuring natural hot spring water. The open-air bath for women is particularly popular. In the Minoh Onsen area is a comprehensive leisure facility including Minoh Onsen Spa Garden, the Kogen Pool (available in summer), Kogen Barbecue, a bowling alley and an indoor heated swimming pool, where visitors can enjoy this onsen area throughout the year. In the vicinity are a number of places perfect for strolling: the Minoh Waterfall, famous for beautiful autumn leaves; the Insectarium, where butterflies can be observed throughout the year; Katsuoji Temple, the 23rd of the 33 temples of the Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage; Ryuanji Temple, famous as a religious training ground for shugen-do (mountaineering asceticism); the amusement park Expoland; and the National Museum of Ethnology.
