| Outline | Known as Nagai Stadium, Nagai Rikujo Kyogi-jo is the home of the professional soccer team Cerezo Osaka. The five-story stadium with a capacity of 50,000 has a curved roof that does not require supporting pillars, thus allowing clear view of the field and the tracks from every seat. It has served numerous international competitions, such as hosting several preliminary games of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and the annual Osaka International Ladies Marathon. Within the stadium are various facilities including training centers, general information center for sports, and restaurants. There is also a secondary athletics stadium with a stand capacity of 15,000. |
